About

I started Acorn Counselling Scotland to support people through the challenges they face in everyday life, as well as helping them work through the impact of past trauma and difficult experiences.  I studied  4 years training with COSCA accredited courses and possess a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy working with Children, Young People and Adults (SCQF Level 11).

The approach focuses on creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can begin to unravel unhelpful thought patterns, understand where these patterns may have come from, and develop healthier ways of coping. Through psychotherapy tools and therapeutic techniques, I help people reframe the way they think, respond to challenges, and understand themselves.

The aim is not simply to work through difficulties in the present, but to equip each person with practical coping mechanisms and insights that they can carry forward into the future. By developing a healthier frame of mind and a greater understanding of themselves, clients can feel more empowered to move forward with increased confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.

Through a client-centred approach, I strive to create a supportive environment where individuals can gain insight, develop coping strategies, and achieve positive growth and transformation.
